TJ Maxx introduced their Runway collection several months ago. At the time, there were no plans to bring the designer goods to the Albany area. Now, though, that’s changed. The Saratoga Springs location as Antik Denim and Rock & Republic jeans ($59.99 at TJ Maxx, typically $150-$200+ at department stores).

Saratoga, Rotterdam and Latham TJ Maxx stores all carry Prada, Miu Miu, Christian Dior, Gucci and Versace. These are brands that were, till now, typically unavailable locally, especially at a discount. I notice, though, these brands are more popular than much of the designers sold at TJs, so just because they have five Prada wallets today, doesn’t mean they will have any tomorrow.

I found discount Vera Wang locally this weekend. Ferri Formals on Union Street in Schenectady had 50 percent off all their floor samples, including dozens of Vera Wang Spring ‘07 dresses. Most of the dresses were in very good to excellent condition and sizes ranged from 6 right on up to 16.
