Sienna Miller

Filed in: Celebs, Fashion

miller sienna Many of you have probably already seen this picture of Sienna as it is a few days old, but I came to realize that she in a nice way puts together two of the looks I’ve been writing about lately: The slips and the black tights. What she’s wearing is probably not a slip, but finding a vintage slip with the same look won’t be hard.

  1. dinah Says:

I like those look it is very glamor and pretty.

  2. eurobrat Says:

I’m sure that you look much better in it than she does- I like the black tights/vintage slip look a lot, but am not crazy about Sienna Miller.

  3. Agathe Says:

Yeah, I’m not Sienna’s biggest fan either, but sometimes I think she looks fabolous. :)

  4. chandra Says:

when i first looked at this, i saw pink [the singer..kinda] then i read it was sienna. i really like the slip-ish dress.. not so sure about the black tights on her. but i think its just the angle of the picture…

  5. tessaj Says:

Sometimes she looks good (like here) but mostly she drives me crazy!

  6. Agathe Says:

Ouch, Pink is not a person one would like to be compared to. :P

  7. Hayden’s Girlfriend Says:

I hate the movie called Fuck factory girl better than Star wars Epsoide II and Epsoide III

I wish Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen together sooo ^________^

  8. Agathe Says:

    The perfect couple. :P

Whittie v City of Hamtramck trial date set

03/28/08 05:52:32 pm by Hillary, [News, Hamtramck, City Politics]

I received this press release about 15 minutes ago.

Hamtramck Whistleblower/First Amendment Lawsuit is imminently approaching

U.S. District Court Judge Marianne O. Battani has fast tracked the Hamtramck Whistleblower/First Amendment Case for trial. In a recent conference with attorneys, Battani ordered the trial of Whittie v Hamtramck, Doyle, Crawford, Schimmel, Turner & Klein to commence on June 23, 2008; this being less than three months away. Both lawsuits that have been filed by Whittie have been consolidated for one jury trial.

Battani also directed the parties to engage in a facilitation process, a process similar to mediation. The judge directed the city’s attorneys to have two members of the Hamtramck City Council and Police Chief James Doyle present for the facilitation process. It is unknown at this time, which two council members will be present.

The Hub bicycle shop

03/30/08 06:47:09 pm by Steven, [DIY, Urbanism, Detroit, Photos, Bicycling]

The Hub, 3611 Cass Avenue, 10-6 Mon-Sat, 12-6 Sunday.

In their words:

The Hub is a non-profit, full-service, retail bike shop specializing in used bike sales and repairs to provide financial support for the free youth program, Back Alley Bikes.

For me, it’s a dream come true.

Saturday, I took a garage-sale 3-speed Schwinn down to The Hub for a rear wheel, sprocket, tire, 5-speed derailer, and a shifter. I wasn’t sure they could do the work, but figured I’d give it a try since I had to take the last one out to Ypsilanti.

Sure enough, they can do everything with used parts, which I find extremely satisfying. In addition, the bikes they have for sale are almost entirely made of re-used parts, and they’re building bikes to order. It was pointed out that one just finished was built for a Wayne State professor.

My bike should be ready in about a week. By then, the baskets and Kevlar® tires should be in. Bicycle City here I come.

Joshuah is on the block in the Big Brother 9 housePssst … can you keep a secret? You see, I have the goods on tomorrow night’s Big Brother 9 episode. I know who won the power of veto. I even know whether it was used to save someone on the block or not.

Nah, I didn’t get this from word on the street sources. And, trust me, you don’t need to pay me to tell you all about it. My source is the 24/7 live feeds in the house and all it will cost you is a few minutes of your time. Do we have a deal?

HIMYM: The Bracket
(S03E14)
First of all, let’s get this out of the way: TedMosbyIsAJerk.com works.

Of course it does. We’ve come to expect nothing less from Bays and Thomas, as they love to use the Web to further the How I Met Your Mother brand. This site looks like it’s fun: cheap 1996-era graphics and text, lots of exclamation points… there’s even a song written by poor Anna, who still thinks Barney is Ted. Oh, and that Ted Mosby is a jerk.

It’s not a coincidence that HIMYM’s first truly funny episode returning from the strike is Barney-centric. Even though Barney seems to be the most one-dimensional character on the surface, Carter and Craig have used him (and the very game Neil Patrick Harris) as a blank canvas, giving him all sorts of backstory elements that seem crazy… but somehow plausible. He used to be a hippie; he has a black gay brother; he slept with Madeline Albright… it all seems entirely possible, doesn’t it?

The Feminist Vs. The War Hero

By John Rowan

Yesterday, while stumping for Hillary Clinton, feminist writer Gloria Steinem shamelessly decided to take a swipe at John McCain’s service record:

“Suppose John McCain had been Joan McCain and Joan McCain had got captured, shot down and been a POW for eight years. [The media would ask], ‘What did you do wrong to get captured? What terrible things did you do while you were there as a captive for eight years?’” Steinem said, to laughter from the audience.

…“I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”

How Liberals Play Race Politics

By Patrick Buchanan

“All is race,” wrote Benjamin Disraeli, “there is no other truth.”

What Disraeli meant by race is what Winston Churchill meant when he spoke of “our island race” — a tribe, an ethnic group, a people unique and separate from all others.

Disraeli saw the Irish in Britain as a breed apart, an alien race:

“This wild, reckless, indolent, uncertain and superstitious race have no sympathy with the English character. Their ideal of human felicity is an alternation of clannish broils and coarse idolatry (i.e., Catholicism). Their history describes an unbroken circuitry of bigotry and blood.”
